In response to Covid shutting down centers, my team and I built this mobile-learning solution. Using a flipped-classroom model, we leveraged speech recognition, allowing users to check their pronunciation without needing an instructor. Learners progressed through 40+ micro-lessons (per language level) and then, booked a 1:1 session with an instructor.
Within the first year, we served over 7,000 global learners, generating over $4.2 million in sales. Tools of Development - HTML Coding, Lemonade/Totara, Hyperwave, Audacity, AI-Generated presenter videos, & Voice Recognition Software

Tools of Development - 7Taps
Developed November 2021 Note - Because this is the free version of 7Taps, there's a lot I couldn't do. For instance, if I had the premium version, the Multiple Choice question at the end of this micro-lesson would be a survey rather than a graded question.
Feel free to ask me more about how I'd change it in an interview. |
Challenge - Cohort BriefA handyman company is looking to increase business in an area with older homes. They're unsure if the general public is aware of the many problems with older houses can have. The company wants to provide a PSA-like service that will also drum up more business.
Create something that both informs the public and advertises the company's services. A handyman company is looking to increase business in an area with older homes. They're unsure if the general public is aware of the many problems with older houses can have. The company wants to provide a PSA-like service that will also drum up more business. Create something that both informs the public and advertises the company's services. SolutionI created a customer-facing micro-course for home owners to learn routine inspections and maintenance meant for their homes. The course will have multiple chapters about small things they can do to prevent costly repairs in the future.
At the end of each chapter, customers will have the opportunity to reach out to the company for further assistance. ResultsSince the business goal is to generate revenue, this data point would tell us whether or not this effort was successful. However, customer knowledge could be measured with various formative assessments in the mini-course. Perhaps when customers sign up for the service, there's a quick assessment to see which lessons they actually need. Customer surveys would also be a valuable measurement, especially paired with an actual service call.

A local grocery store is looking to modernize their cashier onboarding. While they still believe in job-embedded and face-to-face training, there are some skills they'd like cashiers to get some extra practice with before they hit the store. You're helping to develop a series of eLearning modules as a part of a blended training initiative on some essential skills.
SolutionI created this mobile-facing mirco-lesson for employees to identify aspects of a counterfeit bill. I'd like subsequent lessons to have bills the learner can virtually mark with an anti-counterfeit pen, hold under a black light, and examine under a magnify glass.
ResultsThe scores within the lesson show some evidence of learning, but the real measure would be how many fake bills pass through the hands of cashiers. Comparing lost revenue via counterfeit bills pre and post training may create an indicator as would purposefully sending counterfeit bills through randomly as a kind of spot check.
